After camp, we went to see the Lego Store at the mall. Wolfie has been talking about this and was dying to check it out.
The clerk at the store said they built the giant Yoda in a weekend! It was amazing....
On Saturday morning, the girls and I walked in the Susan G. Komen race with one of my oldest friends and her daughter. We had a great time and got lots and lots of Freebies!!!
Here we are before the race. All bright eyed and bushy tailed!
The girls eating free ice cream before the start of the race. Breakfast of Champions!
You go Girl!
Breast Cancer Warriors
Inspiration for all women
Here we are after the race revitalizing ourselves with our bag of goodies
I was so touched to see the thousands of people that came out in support of this horrible disease. I am so lucky to have such good friends in my life that wanted to walk just to support me. At first, I didn't want to wear my pink survivors shirt because I hate "standing out" but Debbie convinced me too and I am glad that I did. I hope it gave any women going through treatment HOPE to see all of the pink shirts that were there that morning.
One of my friends couldn't make it because her father-in-law is dying of lung cancer and I know she was upset and I love her for her compassion. She has been one of my biggest supporters through my fight and I value her friendship more than anything. I love you, Doreen! We'll do it again next year :)
After the race we went back to the in-laws and crashed! After our naps, we decided to go downtown to a free concert the city sponsored. The band that played was called "Filter" and they were a punk/rock band back from the good old days when they played "real" music....LOL
Daddy's Girls!
This is like real life Guitar Hero!
Who would have thought they would see this 20 years ago?
Craaaazzzy Man!
Time to go home!
On Sunday Morning, the daddies took the older kids fishing at the family farm
Princess with her catch
My nephew "kissing" his fish for good luck before tossing it back
Wolfie with his catch and "kiss"
Step-Mom Sandy proves she's still got it and caught the biggest fish!
We had a really great time and thanks to the inlaws for putting us up yet again. We are hoping that they will come down and visit us soon.
On a final note, just before leaving to head home, my niece decides to put on a great outfit that I just have to show off. It's only 90 degrees out but she has decided that she needs to wear snow boots! Isn't she adorable?

What a lovely time you all had! I love the photos. You too are such a great friend, have helped me ever so much and have been a true inspiration to me. I too am going to have to get out there and do more active support work regarding cancer. I see the end in sight, but I admit, it is still daunting.....I am such a whimp! Love to you and your family!
